סמינר מחלקתי 23.05.2017

ביום שלישי 23.05.17 התקיים הסמינר המחלקתי עם הרצאתו של ד"ר רמי זיידאן בנושא:

מחקר זה מתמקד בהתפתחות של הפוליטיקה, הזהות והמנהיגות בקרב הערבים בישראל. הממצאים מוצגים לאור ההתפתחות ההיסטורית ומגמות עכשוויות של "השתלבות מול התבדלות" של הערבים בישראל בשלושת רשויות השלטון, ובכלל זה בשלטון המקומי. תוצאות המחקר מובילות למסקנה שהערבים בישראל משולבים באופן מינימלי במערכת הפוליטית הישראלית והם נפרדים ממנה בסוגיות רבות. המחקר מצביע על כך שהבעיות העיקריות בקרב הערבים בישראל הן תוצאה של גורמים חיצוניים בכל הנוגע לפוליטיקה ברמה הארצית, אך באופן משמעותי יותר הבעיות הן למעשה תוצאה של גורמי פנים, בכל הנוגע לפוליטיקה המקומית המבוססת על קשרים משפחתיים.

The Arabs in Israeli Political System- Politics, Identity, and Leadership

The research focuses on the development of politics, identity, and leadership among Arabs in Israel. It is presented in light of the historical development and contemporary trends of "integration vs segregation" of Israeli Arabs in the three branches of power in Israel including the local level. The outcome of this research leads to a conclusion that the Arabs in Israel are minimally integrated in the Israeli political system and are separated from it in much more issues than integrated. It concludes by pointing that the major problems among the Arabs in Israel relies on the external, in regard to national politics, but more importantly on the internal, in regard to the local kinship-based politics.
